Our church is founded on Jesus Christ and supported by four pillars. These pillars are not distinct to Harvest Bible Chapel, as they are derived from biblical truths, but they help to clarify what we choose to emphasize throughout our church. Whatever your involvement is with us – church on Sunday mornings, Small Group Ministry, Harvest Kids – these pillars define Harvest Bible Chapel.
UNAPOLOGETIC PREACHING
Proclaiming the authority of God's Word without apology
"Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke and exhort, with complete patience and teaching." (2 Timothy 4:2)
Each week, we devote time to opening up the Bible and explaining the truth it contains in a practical and engaging way. We believe the Bible and the God it reveals can make the single most important impact on your life.
UNASHAMED ADORATION
Lifting high the name of Jesus in worship
"God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth." (John 4:24)
Each week we gather to passionately exalt Jesus Christ for who He is and what He has done in our lives. Our hope is that all who join us will experience God’s presence and develop a hunger for God. But worship doesn’t end on Sunday. We want our people to live worshipful lives in which Jesus Christ is always first in heart, mind and action.
UNCEASING PRAYER
Believing firmly in the power of prayer
"Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints." (Ephesians 6:18) God calls His people to pray. Harvest Bible Chapel was formed out of prayer, and will continue to emphasize prayer as an essential element of every ministry. "Harvest Prays" is an evening of prayer for the whole church body, or specifically for the men or for the women of Harvest Muskoka. Join us as we call out to God, asking Him to continue to work in our lives, families, church, community and around the world.
UNAFRAID WITNESS
Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness
"Pray also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak." (Ephesians 6:19-20)
When you have embraced the truth of who Jesus is and your life is totally transformed by the gospel, you can’t help but share this truth with others. Harvest Bible Chapel seeks to be a place where the good news of Jesus is proclaimed loudly, but also to create a culture where its people are fired up to be ‘on mission’ wherever they go.
