 ElderRichard was raised in the small, rural town of Rio, and has now lived in New Windsor for nearly 40 years. He met Janet Blakewell, and they married in 1957. Richard and Janet have 4 children, Matthew (late), Ronnie, Kim who is a missionary to Guatemala with her husband, Theodore, and Paula, who is the wife of our church’s pastor, Jim. Richard and Janet have 7 grandchildren.
Richard and Janet both accepted Christ in the Alpha Baptist Church in 1971 and were baptized. He served in many areas of his church for decades, including serving as a deacon, youth leader, puppet ministry leader, custodian, and Sunday School teacher.
